The J-1 Work/Travel program allows you to spend up to four months working in the USA during your school's summer/winter break with an additional month to explore the country on your own or with your friends. This is an excellent program to assist US companies to meet their seasonal or current labor demands by recruiting international university students to the US. - Visa Type : J1 visa - Duration : 2-4 months. Summer / winter school vacation period. - Requirement : college /university students - Companies / Host Institutions : Hotels, Resorts, Casino-Hotels, Restaurants, Entertainment Venues, etc. - Rate of pay : $6.50 - $10 per hour - Training hours : Five days, 35 hours - 40 hours per week. Overtime pay applicable. - Employers : Can request students for summer, winter and / or spring seasons Recruiting procedure     The timeframe is approximately 2-3 months from the time of application to commencement of     employment.     The applicants are informed about the program and all relevant details. They are assisted with     necessary documentation, with setting up an interview in English with the prospective US employers,     and sponsor organization.     Further assistance is provided with the application, training plan, DS-2019 form, US visa application,     arrival to USA, trainee orientation and the assignment in USA.
